Billing Buddy

For solo providers who bill insurance

Get paid for the care you give.

Say what happened at a visit. Billing Buddy builds the claim and shows why every line is there.

Billing Buddy's home: two claims that need you, a draft with 88 days left to file, and recent claims marked signed, sent and paid.

How it works

A claim in a few minutes.

  1. Say what happened

Type or speak the visit the way you would tell a colleague.

  2. Read and sign

Every line shows its reason and its source. Nothing is sent before you sign.

  3. Send, track, fix

Upload it to your clearinghouse or print the form. A denial comes back in plain words.

A claim in Billing Buddy: the payer, the rules it follows, the total, the days left to file, and what to check before signing.

Every line explained

No code without a reason.

Codes come from dated rules on your device, never from the AI. Each line says why it is there and where the rule comes from.

Who it is for

Made for practices that bill on their own.

Therapists and counselors

Privacy

Your clients stay on your device.

  • Names, birthdays and insurance numbers live in an encrypted vault on your device, never on our server.
  • Before the AI reads your words, names become words like "the client".
  • Your backup is one encrypted file that you keep.

Questions

The details.

What is an AI read?

One read turns one visit, in your words, into the facts a claim needs: how long, by video or in person, what was done. Free has 5 a day and Pro has 200.

How do claims get sent?

Save the upload file for your clearinghouse (the service that passes claims on to insurers), or print the red CMS-1500 form. Then mark it sent and track it in one place.

What happens when a claim is denied?

Each reason code comes back in plain words with what to fix. A rejected claim is fixed and sent as new; a denied one gets an appeal letter drafted for you.

What does your server keep?

Your account, your plan and how many AI reads you used today. Claims, upload files and payment files stay on your device and with your clearinghouse. You sign in with Connections.

There is no sync. On the web, if you forget your passphrase, nobody, including us, can open the vault.

What changes for maternity care in 2027?

On 1 January 2027 the AMA removes 17 maternity codes: prenatal and postpartum visits are billed as office visits with modifier TH, and labor by the day. Medicare's answer is expected around 1 November 2026.

Billing Buddy keeps both sets of rules, each with its date and source, and uses the right one for each date of service.

Is this billing or legal advice?

No. You are the provider who certifies each claim, so you read and sign every line.
